'Invisible Cities' thumbnails 44-49

Here are some more thumbnails that I have been working on. This time, I focused on 'Moriana' and here I have tried to portray 'Moriana' as an underwater aquatic city. Therefore the colours I used were mostly blues and greens.

  1. I really like your colour scheme in these, 46 is my favourite! :)

  2. These are striking, Sky - I like very much 48 and 49, as the simplified shapes feel controlled. I'd like to see you working at 16:9 aspect ratio in your thumbnails, as I think that would help in terms of composition and opening up your vistas. You might also want to look at the concept art/production paintings of Mary Blair, as they may inspire you further in terms of thinking about texture in addition to your choice of shapes:

I have followed your advice and working at 16:9 ratio has definitely helped me, posted some new thumbnails that I did.

I agree with Phil though - jump into 16:9 ratio and new ideas will knock on your door!
